One-of-a-Kind Upcycled Vintage Silk Haori — Shibori & Hidden Floral Lining

This one-of-a-kind haori is handcrafted from vintage Japanese silk (100% pure silk) kimono fabric and tailored for modern wear. The soft pastel exterior is paired with a modern black collar for a contemporary look that works beyond traditional kimono styling.

Shibori (tie-dye) exterior

The outer fabric features traditional shibori — cloth that is bound and dyed by hand. Each bump and pattern is created by hand, giving a texture and depth that cannot be replicated by machine. Shibori kimono have long been valued as luxury items. This haori makes full use of that precious fabric.

Lining: floral weave

The lining is black silk with a delicate floral weave. The design suggests lilies and rose-like motifs — lilies for elegance and purity, roses for lasting beauty. The “hidden” beauty that appears as you move or as the light changes reflects a distinctly Japanese aesthetic.
